Eat Drink Tea Bioactive Puer Essence

Renowned food connoisseur Chua Lam just underwent a balloon angioplasty procedure late last year, but even with a New Year approaching, he still holds onto his love of unhealthy foods and has no plans to change. In fact, Mr. Chua wouldn’t even entertain the thought of reducing the intake of his favourite fatty foods and joked: “as long as we eat whatever we want, the new year will be a happy one,” staying true to his food-loving nature.

Gaga loves meat

The VMAs have always been one of the wildest red carpets. After all, it's MTV, home of outrageous shows like Jackass and Wildboyz. There's nothing the MTV audience hasn't seen that will shock us into speechlessness. Or at least we thought so...

Cue Lady Gaga and her meat dress. Yep, a dress made entirely out of dinner, with a matching headpiece and twine-tied fillet-shoes as the icing on (beef)cake.

Then, Gaga went onstage to receive her award for Video of the Year, presented by Cher, who was dressed like, well, Cher, in her beaded black leather leotard and stockings. That was probably the only time in the history of the universe that a Cher outfit had been upstaged by another piece of clothing (if the meat dress even qualifies as apparel).

I'm not too sure what to think about Lady Gaga's new venture in fashion. She's always been crazy with her outfits, but nothing so edible before. I mean, this is crazy, right?

What do you guys think?

Urban Outfitters

Urban Outfitters seems to be the ultimate hipster clothing store. Shop assistants look like they hang out at Lower East Side hipster haunt Cake Shop 24/7, the shop is subtly decorated with vintage furnishings, and there's always good indie music playing at a UO store, and the website even gives out mp3s for free download on their site.

So, it's no surprise that She & Him lent their little ditty "Why Do You Let Me Stay Here" to UO's Spring 2008 video catalogue.

Check it out below.

GQ "Rock The Suit”

It's not everyday that Andrew and Ben from MGMT suit up, but when they do work the snappy dressing, the duo clean up very very well.

GQ gathered some of the best and up-coming musicians now and ever. The National, The Walkmen, The Drums and the aforementioned MGMT all appear in GQ's "Rock the Suit", looking super duper dapper. Also in the spread, legendary legend (what other word is there?) David Byrne was in the company of two gorgeous ladies, posing with Santigold and St.Vincent for the magazine.

Karlie Kloss is one of the biggest names on the runway today, but when she started out, she was just a 15-year-old trying her hand at modelling.

Prezi Power

Decades ago, there was the slideshow; a clumsy machine with tiny little plastic square negatives that worked with the click of a button.

Then came the PowerPoint presentation. With all its animations, colours, clip art and flashy slide changes, the world of the business presentation was revolutionized.

Now that we're already more than a decade into the new millenium, it's only befitting that technological advancements pay a kindly visit to the 'old school' PowerPoint presentation. Hence, I present Prezi. Sure, it's been around for a while, but now more than ever, people are turning to this interactive presentation platform to make an impression at work or at school.

The concept is simple; a modern take on the traditional whiteboard. How does one simulate the whiteboard experience on the Internet? Your mouse is your laser pointer, and it will take you anywhere on your Prezi virtual mindmap. It's sort of like your own little RPG game; presentation style.

Boom De Ah Da

Probably one of my favourite commercials in recent years. Not only does this Discovery Channel have a super catchy jingle (Boom de ah da, boom de ah da, boom de ah da, boom de ah da), it's also got the educational channel's presenters and stars singing along and about what they love. Mike Rowe, the host of Dirty Jobs, crawls in a sewer while singing: "I love real dirty things", and Man Vs. Wild's Bear Grylls does his part with: "I love arachnids", while holding up a big, scary-looking tarantula.

Funny, heart-warming, personal and 100% Discovery Channel.
